Pozitively Fabulous 2024 Information

Pozitively Fabulous is a retreat specifically created and attended by the SoberPoz Community. The retreat is a 4-day / 3-night event with a variety of planned activities developed to strengthen the sense of community and support through workshops, speakers, 12-step meetings, fellowship, discussion groups, campfires, and leisure time.

Pozitively Fabulous started outside of Atlanta in 2013 where it was hosted for 3 years. In 2016, the retreat moved to San Francisco where it was held at St Dorthy’s Rest for the following three years. In 2019 the retreat moved to outside of Chicago where it is currently being held.

Lodging

The LaSalle Manor Retreat Center can accommodate a maximum of 70 people. Each attendee will have their own room with a sink with shared restrooms and showers on each floor. Bed linens and a towel will be provided. Attendees should bring their own soap and shampoo. The LaSalle Manor staff will prepare three hot meals Friday and Saturday and a continental breakfast Sunday morning. The committee will host a pizza night on Thursday evening. Did I mention that there is a pool?

Transportation

To Chicago: There are two airports, Midway (MDW) and O’Hare (ORD). Both are equal distance from the retreat, approximately an one hour drive. O’Hare (ORD) is larger and has more flights.

Due to the increased cost of hired transportation the retreat committee will be arranging a carpool armada to leave from the Center on Halsted (3656 N. Halsted Chicago, IL) Thursday afternoon.
